The property is owned by the Town of Arlington and is a raised bed style community garden. This garden is surrounded by trees, a soccer field, and a community pavilion where events are held. The raised beds are constructed with natural materials and organic soil mix and compost are used to fill the beds for planting.

The students learn about the gardening season, planting root vegetables, seeds and seedlings, beneficial insects, pollinators, seed saving techniques, and how to use the garden harvest. The bounty from this garden is cultivated, grown, watered, maintained, harvested, cleaned by hand, and shared with the local community.
